David Hegarty, Organist

This concert will showcase the symphonic tonal colors of the Basilica organ. The program will primarily feature music by great cinematic composers: Erich Wolfgang Korngold (Kings Row), John Williams (Star Wars), Franz Waxman (Peyton Place), and Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera). A highlight of the program will be Bernard Herrmann’s music for Vertigo—some of which was composed for scenes filmed here at Mission Dolores.
